Our Commitment to Equity

The murder of George Floyd and the vast racial inequalities highlighted by the pandemic prompted many in the philanthropic space to reexamine their practices and commitment to equity. At the Grunin Foundation, we believe it is essential to our mission to find meaningful ways to integrate Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) in everything we do. As we strive to become a better funder, we pledge to co-learn and work with our partners, colleagues, and communities to help break down barriers, uplift marginalized voices, celebrate diversity, and champion a more just and equitable society.

Our EDIB Theory of Change

We gathered community input to develop our three core EDIB Strategies. Through these strategies and our four pillars of work, we seek to advance more equitable outcomes at the Central Jersey Shore (CJS).
