In this interactive session, we will undergo a practical exploration of an intentional, responsible approach to fundraising storytelling.

We would love for you to spend the day with us, but we understand there can be time restrictions so we have 3 ticket options:

1. Full day from 9:15am to 3:45pm
2. Breakfast and Session 1 only from 9:15am to 12:15pm
3. Lunch and Session 2 only from 12pm to 3:45pm

Session 1: “Community as a Catalyst: How to Unlock the Power of Peer to Peer Fundraising"

Discover the dynamic potential of Peer to Peer Fundraising to mobilize your supporters. During this interactive session you will learn how to engage your community, turn passionate advocates and board members into fundraising champions, and leverage their networks to expand your reach. We'll cover practical steps to design and launch successful campaigns that inspire action and generate significant support for your cause.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to create an outreach plan to mobilize supporters.
  • The steps to create a strategic fundraising plan to hit your goals.
  • Key ways to turn board members into your BEST fundraisers.
  • Strategies for telling an engaging story of your organization and,
  • Techniques to recruit and motivate fundraisers to join your cause.

    Session 2: "Building Strategic Alliances: How to Secure Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships"

Unlock the keys to cultivating valuable corporate relationships in this session focused on strategic partnerships and sponsorships. During this session you will understand how to identify potential partners, craft compelling proposals, and create mutually beneficial collaborations. Floyd Jones will teach you how to gain insights into the corporate mindset and learn best practices for maintaining and growing these partnerships to ensure long-term support and sustainability for your nonprofit.

  • Methods to identify the right corporate partners for your organization.
  • Approaches to obtaining introductions to prospective partners.
  • Effective techniques for pitching sponsors and securing commitments and,
  • Best practices for maintaining and growing corporate partnerships.

Floyd Jones is a creator, coach, and community builder based in NYC. As the founder of BackBlack, he has raised over $1.3M for 770 Black-led nonprofits. Previously, as the Director of Community & Partnerships at Givebutter, he played a key role in growing the fundraising platform that now powers over $1B in donations annually.

Throughout his career, Floyd has raised over $30M for grassroots organizations and spoken at over 50 conferences. His work has been featured by ESPN, LinkedIn, AfroTech, Variety, and Wired, and has been sponsored by NIKE, Whole Foods, VISA, NBA2k, and more.

Floyd also serves as a speaker and strategist, helping nonprofits, creators, and purpose-driven companies scale their community-led growth strategies.
