Working the Zoom Room: Tips and Tricks for Using the Zoom Virtual Meeting Platform

Our partners at Support Center have been stress testing Zoom capabilities for the last six weeks, and this session will explore some of the most commonly utilized features. We'll explore standard functionality, polling, breakout rooms, screen sharing as well as some creative ways to use Zoom for your virtual happy hours and online family get togethers (e.g. screen share pictionary). We'll follow up with a curated list of Zoom resources and instructions that can help you to navigate this platform within your own organizations, families and neighborhoods.

About our Facilitators

Keith Timko is Executive Director/CEO at Support Center, and leads efforts to develop and promote an integrated and collaborative approach to capacity building for nonprofit organizations and social enterprises. Prior to joining Support Center, Keith was the Director & CEO with Build with Purpose, a nonprofit real estate development organization. Keith is currently the board chair of the national Alliance for Nonprofit Management and a part-time lecturer with Rutgers Business School.

Yvette R. Murry is the President/COO of YRM Consulting Group, LLC. For over 20 years, Yvette has developed tailored training, consultation and coaching solutions for government, non-profits, academic institutions and executives nationally and abroad. Her specialties are in the areas of organizational development, talent management and communication.
