Advancing personal & organizational work around DEI & belonging, this four-part series covers basic terms and frameworks.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: For directors, board members, staff, and volunteers interested in advancing their own personal and organizational work around inclusion and belonging, this four-part series covers basic terms and frameworks. For those with prior exposure to the concepts, questions will prompt how to deepen the level of engagement and commitment.

Session 4: This is Head and Heart Work - The work of advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) takes both intellectual and emotional energy. Or as we say, it is ‘head and heart work’ and when done well, leads to transformation for all involved.

Yet, for many, the seemingly ever evolving understanding of what is important and what actions matter in equity work can feel like a never-ending and uncertain journey. Without the guidance of those who have gone before, peer support from others on the journey, and self-care, we risk our well-being as well as the success of our endeavors.

Please join us for an open conversation about what it takes to steward equity work, including illustrative stories of the head and heart work of DEIB.

Please note: this is part of a four-part series. You must sign up for each session separately, but do not have to sign up for all four. Feel free to register for whichever works best for you!

$10 ticket includes workshop and lunch.
