Advancing personal & organizational work around DEI & belonging, this four-part series covers basic terms and frameworks.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: For directors, board members, staff, and volunteers interested in advancing their own personal and organizational work around inclusion and belonging, this four-part series covers basic terms and frameworks. For those with prior exposure to the concepts, questions will prompt how to deepen the level of engagement and commitment.

Session 3: Engaging A Nonprofit Board to Address Racial Equity - A critical step to advancing your organizational response to racial equity is a conversation with your board. However, they, like the rest of us, may come to the conversation with some uncertainty, or even trepidation. Leading that conversation well is important.

Please join us for a very practical session that offers:

• A review of tools for beginning a conversation with your board about racial equity

• Questions to start the conversation

• Examples of how boards of directors are responding to calls for racial equity

• Common barriers experienced by boards

• Guidance on how to navigate with board members who have very different levels of understanding and awareness

Target audience: Organizational leaders committed to addressing race and equity

Please note: this is part of a four-part series. You must sign up for each session separately, but do not have to sign up for all four. Feel free to register for whichever works best for you!

$10 ticket includes workshop and lunch.
